First-year students head up the stairs at Parkhurst Hall to meet President Sian Leah Beilock in her office on Sunday, Sept. 14. 

President Beilock shakes hands with each incoming student during the day. 

Part of matriculation includes taking the ���㽶��Ƶ Pledge, affirming students’ commitment to the community and its standards. 

After taking the ���㽶��Ƶ Pledge, students sign their names in the matriculation book. 

David “Guy” Van Wie ’79, Thayer ’83, hands out posters of the Second College Grant to members of the Class of 2029 at matriculation. Van Wie teaches environmental journalism in the MALS program.
