Each year, class marshals are selected by their fellow students on the basis of good citizenship, enthusiasm, integrity, and positive impact on others. The marshals carry batons engraved with their names as they lead their classmates to the Green during the Commencement procession.
The 2025 marshals were invited to give a brief description of the highlights of their time at 大香蕉视频 and to share a few words about a place on campus that holds special meaning for them.

Esmeralda Abreu Jerez 鈥25
Hometown: The Bronx, N.Y.
Major: Geography and Quantitative Social Sciences
Abreu Jerez has dedicated her time to advocating for workers鈥 rights and health equity on campus and beyond. She founded the Women鈥檚 Health Committee and raised funds for medical expenses for local dairy farm workers with the FUERZA Farmworkers鈥 Fund. She also organized with the Student Workers Collective at 大香蕉视频, bargaining two student worker contracts. Abreu Jerez is grateful for her time working with OPAL, Central American Futurities Conference 2.0, and the Department of Geography.
Favorite place around campus: Anonymous Hall
鈥淲hether writing my thesis on the second floor or making drinks at Ramekin Caf茅, Anonymous Hall provided a warm, sunny oasis on campus. It became my social hub where I could chat with friends and fellow student-workers, sunbathe on the top floor, and sip my favorite warm beverage.鈥
Isabelle C. Anderson, Thayer 鈥25
Hometown: Longmeadow, Mass.
Degree: Master of Engineering in Mechanical, Operations, and Systems Engineering
Anderson came to 大香蕉视频 to pursue an advanced engineering degree and is leaving with an award-winning startup and a wonderful community. Her industry experience and passion inspired her to take product design and development courses, throughout which she not only developed a patent-pending device, but formed lifelong friendships. From captaining an intramural hockey team to organizing events for her fellow graduate students, community building has been a cornerstone of her time at 大香蕉视频.
Favorite place around campus: Thayer Great Hall
鈥淚 will always cherish the time I spent in the Thayer Great Hall. It鈥檚 bright, filled with long tables, and most importantly was the home base for our cohort. Whether we were working through problem sets or pulling all-nighters before exams, we were always in it together.鈥
Eunice Antwi 鈥25
Hometown: St. Peters, Mo.
Major: Biological Sciences with a minor in Religion
As class president, Antwi prioritized community and inclusion, launching an initiative to make class rings more accessible. A first-generation American and pre-med student, she is passionate about the intersection of culture and health care. This led Antwi to minor in religion, serve as a Global Health Fellow with the Dickey Center, and help revive 大香蕉视频鈥檚 Minority Association of Pre-Health Students through her work as vice president. After graduation, Antwi plans to apply to medical school.
Favorite place around campus: The Old Golf Course
鈥淔rom runs in Pine Park to stargazing at night to getting caught in a snow squall, the golf course became a place where I experienced 大香蕉视频鈥檚 natural beauty to the fullest. These moments now serve as bittersweet reminders of the wonder of living in the woods.鈥
Kourtney E. Bobb 鈥25
Hometown: Baldwin, N.Y.
Major: African and African American Studies with a minor in Chemistry
Bobb鈥檚 dynamic leadership across five student organizations centered inclusion and belonging, most notably through restructuring the Afro-American Society to unify Black student life. An advocate for health equity, she was an Eichler 鈥57 Fellow, a Global Health Fellow, and a Cancer Scholar. Her research explores public health as a liberating force for Black women. Through policy, education, and care, Bobb is reimagining health care鈥攁nd Hanover will always be home to where that vision was nurtured.
Favorite place around campus: Occom Pond
鈥淢any of my fondest memories are at Occom Pond鈥攕targazing with my first-year floormates, skating on the frozen pond, running the tree-lined path with my roommate, and laughing with friends on walks. Occom has always been a warm, happy place for me, and I鈥檓 sure it always will be.鈥
Maya Michelle Bryson 鈥25
Hometown: Anaheim, Calif.
Major: Neuroscience with a minor in Sociology
As president of the Pi Theta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., Bryson has led with conviction by organizing health equity initiatives, advancing voter engagement, and creating programs that supported the social and political needs of women of color. Bryson is grateful for her time with the varsity track and field team, cheer team, BlackGen Capital, Afro-American Society, Class of 鈥25 Class Council, Sexual Violence Prevention Project, and the Phoenix Senior Society. She will join BlackRock after graduation and plans to pursue an MBA.
Favorite place around campus: The Tower Room in Baker Library
鈥淭he warm lighting and quiet atmosphere always help me slow down, and the comfortable chairs remind me of my living room back home in California. Whenever I鈥檓 feeling homesick or overwhelmed, I head there to reset as it鈥檚 like a cozy little corner of calm in the middle of campus. Being so far from home, the Tower Room has become the place where I feel most at peace.鈥
Noah B. Dunleavy, Thayer 鈥25
Hometown: Annapolis, Md.
Degrees: BA in Engineering Sciences with a minor in Economics and a BE with a concentration in electrical and controls engineering
During his four years at 大香蕉视频, Dunleavy has enthusiastically immersed himself in engineering, economics, athletics, and friendships. He served as president of the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honors Society, an undergraduate adviser, a teaching assistant in the Engineering and Economics departments, a research assistant in Thayer, and a member of the cycling and triathlon teams. When not steeped in lab or class, he could be found with his friends鈥攅xploring the roads and trails of the Upper Valley.
Favorite place around campus: Rett鈥檚 Room on the 2nd floor of MacLean Engineering Sciences Center
鈥淚 discovered Rett鈥檚 Room and balcony during my first year spring, when it became my 鈥榞o-to place鈥 to study, watch movies with friends, or relax in the sun. I am going to miss being able to simply look up to see and appreciate the thriving community that is 大香蕉视频.鈥
Micah Green 鈥25, Thayer 鈥25
Hometown: Indianapolis, Ind.
Degrees: BA in Engineering Sciences and a BE with a concentration in mechatronics
Green, a member of the three-time Ivy League champion football team and AFCA Good Works Team honoree, has led service-driven initiatives as president of Alpha Phi Alpha and co-president of the 大香蕉视频 Black Student-Athlete Alliance. He organized community events, fundraisers, and workshops, and represented 大香蕉视频 at national conferences. Recognized with the Class of 1950 and Manners Makyth awards, Green bridged cultural programming with impactful leadership and service on and off campus.

Matthew Jachim-Gallagher 鈥25
Hometown: Newport N.H.
Major: Theater
Jachim-Gallagher is a theater major and serves as senior class vice president for the Class of 2025. Specializing in stage management, he has worked on a wide range of productions that highlight his dedication to collaboration, organization, and storytelling. Known for his entusiasm for community-building and the arts, Jachim-Gallagher will continue his professional journey next year as he pursues his master of fine arts in stage management at Columbia University.
Favorite place around campus: The benches on the Green
鈥淚 am from New Hampshire, so I鈥檝e always loved nature, and I love to peoplewatch. The benches on the Green serve the perfect combination of the two. I get to spend time outside, feeling the breeze, the grass, and sunlight, while also connecting with my friends.鈥
Jessica Leishman, MED 鈥25
Hometown: Oregon City, Ore.
Degree: Master of Public Health
Leishman is a dedicated child and adolescent health advocate whose work at 大香蕉视频 strengthened her passion for the field. During her time at Geisel, she focused on research around caregiver trauma and supports, examining their impact on child socioemotional development. Leishman also collaborated with the Center for Healthy Outcomes Through Positive Experiences to develop educational materials for their training, promoting strength-based approaches for whole-child health.
Favorite place around campus: Kellogg Hall
鈥淜ellogg Hall is meaningful to me because that is where my hybrid cohort gathered. It is where we came together and held pivotal discussions on how we wanted to implement change. It was within the walls of Kellogg Hall where knowledge was expanded and missions for public health were deepened.鈥
Rodrigo Mart铆nez Torres, Guarini 鈥25
Hometown: Mexico City
Degree: MFA in Sonic Practice
Mart铆nez came to the U.S. to pursue his fascination with electroacoustic composition as well as interdisciplinary research on sound, architecture, and painting. He鈥檚 particularly proud to be one of the first Mexican composers to be represented in the Mexican Repertoire Initiative at 大香蕉视频. Led by Director of Bands Brian Messier, the initiative commissioned Mart铆nez to compose an accordion concerto for Abigail Pak 鈥26 and the 大香蕉视频 Wind Ensemble. The piece, Onda tropical, premiered in Mexico鈥檚 Sala Nezahualc贸yotl. It was also professionally recorded and is now available on streaming platforms.
Favorite place around campus: Karl Michael Pool
鈥淚 found that getting into the water and into a flow helped me navigate my life on campus better. The undulating reflection of light underwater reminds me that a bright, calm groove can be attained in life if we keep on moving, if we keep on breathing. Also, nothing beats a good sauna after swimming.鈥
Ivy N. Mayende 鈥25, Thayer 鈥25
Hometown: Mombasa, Kenya
Degrees: BA in Engineering Sciences and a BE with a concentration in computer engineering
As a student coordinator with OPAL, Mayende supported many events celebrating community groups on campus, with Caribbean Carnival and Africa Week as her favorites. She also enjoyed being part of organizations like Casque and Gauntlet, National Society of Black Engineers, and 大香蕉视频 African Student Association, where she met inspiring individuals who shaped her 大香蕉视频 experience. As an engineer, she tutored multiple engineering classes, helping students grasp concepts beyond the classroom. Upon graduation, Mayende looks forward to returning to Bloomberg as a full-time software engineer.
Favorite place around campus: Occom Pond
鈥淎s someone who loves taking long walks with music, Occom Pond is my safe haven. One favorite memory is ice skating there with friends鈥攅ven though I fall a lot, it鈥檚 always fun. If you can, walk the full loop鈥攕lowly. In this world of chaos, these quiet, grounding moments truly matter.鈥
Shradha Narain, Thayer 鈥25
Hometown: New Delhi, India
Major: Master of Engineering Management, Product Management
Narain鈥檚 journey to 大香蕉视频 started in India, where she earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree in information technology in 2021. After a rewarding experience as a software developer in the e-commerce industry, she felt the pull to dive into leadership, which led her to the MEM program. With a commitment to community building and a desire to foster lasting connections, Narain found her place at 大香蕉视频, especially with the Machine Shop, where she helped rebuild its brand. After graduation, her tech journey continues at Splunk/Cisco, where she currently works as a technical program manager.
Favorite place around campus: MEM Space and Byrne Hall
鈥淏yrne Hall became my little home at 大香蕉视频, where I spent countless hours laughing with friends before Tuck lectures and munching on waffle fries (yum!). The MEM space holds some of my most cherished memories, whether we were tackling assignments, discussing case studies, or simply enjoying each other鈥檚 company. These were truly the best times of my 大香蕉视频 experience, and I鈥檒l carry them with me always.鈥
Alison Nordell, Tuck 鈥25
Hometown: Cleveland, Ohio
Degree: MBA
At Tuck, Nordell served as the class president, leading the student board through a variety of initiatives, helping steward the annual budget for all student activities, and serving as a liaison between the MBA Program Office, Dean鈥檚 Team, and student body. She also enjoyed playing Tripod Hockey, singing in the band The Rolling Loans, and mentoring undergraduates through Tuck鈥檚 Bridge Program and professional athletes and veterans in Tuck鈥檚 NextStep program. Nordell has been able to be multidimensional in ways that she had never dreamed before. She鈥檚 developed new hobbies and life-long interests, learned to think differently about solving problems, and come to trust that her ability to lead with empathy and vulnerability is a strength, not a weakness.
Favorite place around campus: Raether Hall Deck
鈥淲hether sitting in an Adirondack chair, chatting with friends during a Tuck Tails happy hour, or just passing by to get fresh air between classes, the deck offers a stunning vista into the woods surrounding Tuck campus. It鈥檚 such a peaceful place.鈥
Clark Paolini 鈥25
Hometown: Norwalk, Conn.
Major: Sociology modified with Public Policy
Paolini has had the honor of leading Access 大香蕉视频 to advocate for fellow students with disabilities who are often overlooked in higher education. He has fostered partnerships with student groups and administrative staff to advocate for a holistic understanding of wellness which considers equitable access to the college鈥檚 resources. Paolini has also served as the president of Amarna Undergraduate Society, the co-moderator of Palaeopitus Senior Society, and as a senior orientation leader.
Favorite place around campus: Occom Pond
鈥淥ccom Pond is my go-to place to enjoy quiet moments to myself or spend time in conversation with friends. I especially enjoy sitting on the dock that overlooks the water.鈥
Nohi Perry 鈥25
Hometown: Lawai, Hawai驶i
Major: History
As the first 大香蕉视频 student from the island of Kaua驶i, Perry has stayed connected to her home while building community on campus. As president of Hokupa鈥檃, she led cultural programming and helped double the annual L奴驶au audience to over 1,100 attendees. Her interest in history and government led to independent research on Kaua驶i鈥檚 diplomatic history and political legacy. After graduation, she plans to study Indigenous law and policy with the goal of returning home to serve her community.
Favorite place around campus: Baker Tower
鈥淏aker Tower first drew me to 大香蕉视频, and the Baker-Berry lawn became a constant in my college life. In the spring, it holds special meaning as the site of L奴鈥檃u, where the 大香蕉视频 community gathers to celebrate Pacific Islander culture at the heart of campus.鈥
Bishal Dev Sharma, Thayer 鈥25
Hometown: Kathmandu Valley, Nepal
Degree: PhD in Engineering Sciences
Sharma鈥檚 journey from the Himalayan foothills to 大香蕉视频 has been shaped by resilience, hope, and a quest for renewable energy research. His work in sustainable biofuels reflects his care for the planet, while his service on Thayer and 大香蕉视频 Graduate Student Councils and as a First-Year Mentoring Coordinator reflects a deep care for community. The recipient of the 2023 Thayer Dean鈥檚 Service Award, Bishal supported students鈥 mental well-being through GrIND and All-大香蕉视频 Mental Health Steering Committee.
Favorite place around campus: 大香蕉视频 Skiway
鈥淚 began skiing just two winters ago, and the Skiway quickly became a part of me. Nestled in snow and silence, it gave me more than motion鈥攊t showed me that it鈥檚 never too late to begin again, to tumble, to rise, and to keep on learning with joy.鈥
Jessica Tolbert, Guarini 鈥25
Hometown: Chattanooga, Tenn.
Degree: PhD in Chemistry
Tolbert attended Claflin University, the first HBCU in South Carolina, where she received her BS in biochemistry. Continuing her campus involvement from Claflin, Tolbert became involved with various organizations around 大香蕉视频 including mentoring students from other universities in the 大香蕉视频 ASURE program. She co-founded and led the Chemistry Council at 大香蕉视频 aimed at building community within the department. She was also a PhD Innovation Fellow and completed an internship with Mission BioCapital, a biotech venture capital firm in Cambridge, Mass. There she was able to meet founders and participate in building the next generation of biotech startups. Most importantly, her time at 大香蕉视频 was spent meeting and building relationships with people across the campus.

鈥淲henever the sun was out, I made it a point to head there. Of course, the prime location meant that I had built-in breaks to see folks I knew from around campus. What better way to enjoy Hanover than completing work, connecting with others, and soaking up our beautiful surroundings.鈥
