Franco Zeffirelli's picture-perfect production brings Belle Époque Paris to life in Puccini's timeless tale of young artists, their heartbreaks and joys.

At first glance, Puccini's beloved masterwork is the definitive depiction of the joys and sorrows of love and loss; on closer inspection, it reveals the deep emotional significance hidden in the trivial things—a bonnet, an old overcoat, a chance meeting with a neighbor—that make up our everyday lives.

Soprano Juliana Grigoryan is the fragile seamstress Mimì, who instantly falls in love with the passionate poet Rodolfo, sung by tenor Freddie De Tommaso. Soprano Heidi Stober and baritone Lucas Meachem trade both spars and kisses as the on-again, off-again lovers Musetta and Marcello, with Sean Michael Plumb and Jongmin Park rounding out the rambunctious gang of bohemian friends. Maestra Keri-Lynn Wilson takes the podium to lead Franco Zeffirelli's picturesque staging.
